Q. What’s the difference between highlights and lowlights?
A. Quite simply, a highlight lightens and brightens the hair, while a lowlight darkens and deepens it. Both give the hair dimension. Think blonde, gold and chamomile tones for highlights; reds, plums and aubergine shades for lowlights. Usually, two or thress colors are used throughout the air for a mutlifaceted, shimmering effect.

A. First of all, the right cut with layers and texture in the right placed will give you maximum volume. With that in place, use a large round brush in the crown area and after your hair is dry, hold 1-2 inch sections up and apply a bit of strong hairspray to the roots. (We recommend either Redken Workforce or Unite Maxcontrol). While still holding the hair up, give it a quick blast with the hairdryer to set. This will give you volume that lasts all day.
